Lisa Murkowski: Heir to Privilege, Political Favor & Power

By Patrick Read

In the highly charged political atmosphere of today, one must consider the overall resume of each candidate and make a focused decision regarding who has the most to offer their state and their nation. The responsible voter will objectively compare & contrast to decide if they have faith in a candidate’s ability to lead during a frenzy of serious challenges, each with a lasting consequence.

As it was intended, the voter becomes like an employer whose business is at stake, and the employer must make a decision whether to hire one promising a return to prosperity—even if a labored, tattered and torn return.

The decision must be focused and based on work history, qualification, dependability, reliability and integrity of character.  With economic perils already realized via the riots in Greece and France, it would be dismissive for a voter to base the most important electoral-decision in 30 years on personality, humor, a pleasant smile or on how nice an one seeking to be hired seems to be.

After all, most people seeking work say what they think the interviewer wants to hear. So, the decision must be based on employee history and action – not just words, attire and smile.

But when the National Debt is $13.7 Trillion and 93% of Gross Domestic Product, and the CBO reports that the the Debt WILL reach 102% of GDP by 2015---The People of Alaska must act and better do it now.  Murkowski had her hand in this economic dilemma and cannot be rewarded to further its demise. Alaska already made the right choice in the primary and now MUST follow through.

A few of the issues at hand that need to be addressed & are on the employer’s table are: extreme spending, the national debt vs. gross domestic product, inflation, cap and trade, another stimulus, the reform of health care reform, potential bailouts of entire state budgets, progressive tax hikes only targeting a societal few, how taxes will affect the stubborn “total unemployment number,” domestic terrorism, the nation’s security and the war

It doesn’t seem like an easy task at hand considering the serious nature facing The People and our nation. But history paints a clear picture for each candidate.

Alaska is a land known to be the last frontier for rugged individualism, where the measure of a person is the measure of self-reliance and Lisa Murkowski holds an all but empty tackle as she desperately tries to cling to power bequeathed her.

Frank Murkowski (here) was a devout Catholic and Republican during the 1980s, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. He was a successful Banker when elected to serve as US Senator from Alaska in 1980. At the same time, his daughter took an interest in business as well.

In 1980, Lisa Murkowski (here) graduated with a degree in economics from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She was taught Keynesian Economics—a theory put forth by John Keynes—a registered Socialist (here) in England whose theory (here) took hold in the US, especially with Johnson & Carter. Georgetown was in recent news for obeying the Obama Administration’s demand to remove a Holy Crucifix (here) and have it out of sight before the President made a live address from the school. It’s not change to believe in for a Catholic Institution to easily dismiss the very reason they are established to simply appease the “PC Crowd.”

In 1985, after learning how to progressively spread the wealth on a global scale,  Lisa Murkowski finally graduated Law School from the progressive Willamette University College of Law (here) located in Oregon.  She had a nine year “college student career” starting in 1976.  It begs the question, what took so long?

Well, the Senator’s daughter was a sorority girl with more than her fair share of the “Pi Beta Phi.” It was the 1980’s, or what hippies called the “Decade of Greed,” and a daughter of privilege might have indulged in all that society had to offer her. The boomers said that the largest expanse in free-market growth under Reagan, who recovered from Carter’s Keynesian Policy, was entirely predicated on “selfishness.” This wrong-headed thinking must be why their recovery attempt is taking so damn long. Clearly, charities did much better under Reagan, when people had much more money to give, than they are doing under Obama--especially as the total unemployment number (not just those actively claiming benefit) is approaching 18%.

But there was certainly some greed to be found during the 1980s and it too involved political corruption, deceit & payoffs. Bill & Hillary Clinton can attest to this fact after being involved in “banking & real estate scandal” not unlike the sub-prime mortgage one of today (here). It resulted in his impeachment.

In 1987, a full two years after obtaining her law degree and finally with a full head of steam, Lisa Murkowski picked up and ran straight into a brick wall.

She failed her bar exam in Alaska four times before finally passing the bar on her fifth attempt.  One might say the bar was set way too high.

Perhaps it was just by chance that Frank Murkowski (his site) was finishing up his first term as US Senator and running his re-election campaign when his sorority daughter finally passed the bar.
Was it coincidence that  Murkowski finally landed a job in 1987, when her US Senator father was running for re-election? Nothing in politics is ever coincidence. She was offered a job serving the Anchorage District Court and was assigned to the clerk’s office, making it easy for Senator Murkowski to proudly announce on the campaign trail that his kid worked for the largest city in Alaska, serving their judicial systemLisa  Murkowski wanted that job so badly that she left it having only served less than two years---about half the time she spent with Pi Beta Phi. She took a job with private law practice in 1989, where she worked for nine years—the same amount of time she spent as a “professional student.” But it was not the end of her political “career.”

In 1990, Lisa Murkowski accepted the Anchorage Mayor’s offer to “serve” on his Homeless Task Force. It was a position Murkowski held until 1991 – exactly one full year – and Senator Murkowski could proudly announce his daughter’s selfless act of caring for Alaska’s homeless—for a whole year—until the election cycle played out and Daddy was re-elected

Frank filled the seat for 20 years until 2001, and for the last six years he was Chairman of the “Energy and Natural Resources Committee.”  He was fighting, but losing to the Sierra Club, as the Chair of the US Energy and Natural Resources Committee. And there is no question that during this time Frank met with and befriended high-powered Alaskan Oil Producers and key power players of whom became known as “The Good Ole Boys Network.”

In 1998, Lisa Murkowski re-emerged in the political arena and was “almost, but not quite” following in her Daddy’s footsteps. He won his 4th US Senate race and she won an election of her own and joined Alaska’s House Representatives as the candidate from the 14th Disctrict—a place widely recognized for its self-made hockey mom turned Mayor, Sarah Palin.

Palin first took her political stand with the PTA in the ‘80s before being elected to two terms for the Wasilla City Council in 1992 and 1995. In 1996, Palin ran for and won her first executive position. Maybe Murkowski felt she was being out-shined by Palin's star in District 14, because as Sarah was serving her 2nd term as Mayor, Lisa Murkowski fled the area after serving only one term.  Murkowski was re-elected to the Alaska Legislature 2000 from Eagle River, the 18th district, just north of Anchorage—where she had served the homeless for one whole year—or just long enough to be added to her resume. How could Lisa Murkowski have represented either of her constituents effectively having only served each of them for one term or two years?

During Lisa Murkowski’s 2nd term in Alaska’s House of Reps; Frank Murkowski came to know all the right people and decided to run for Governor of Alaska. During the primary he took full advantage of Palin’s political pull. Her star was rising when she was selected as the President of “Alaska’s League of Mayors” in 1999 & fulfilled her 2nd term as the wildly popular Mayor who had an 85% approval rating.

In 2002, after winning his race, Frank Murkowski took his seat as Alaska’s Governor and had a decision to make. It was post 9.11 and the nation had just been attacked by Al Qaeda.

The US already recovered from Clinton’s Dotcom Recession, and now had to recover from the 9/11 Recession while gearing up for war

What candidate could Governor Murkowski name that had the political experience needed to fill his Senate seat during this tough time?
In the most affronting display of feudalism not seen since the English Monarchy controlled American politics—Frank Murkowski bequeathed The People’s Senate Seat to his clumsy daughter—the Heir to privilege and political power. The State of Alaska was so outraged with Frank’s clear nepotism & conflict of interest, that they took the power away from the Governor’s Office to name future national nominations when needed. He named his daughter Lisa as US Senator, who had a total of 4 years political experience in 2 different districts and 1 year experience serving on a Homeless Task Force.

In 2003, Palin was appointed to serve on the “Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.” She soon became chair and was tasked with oversight of their oil & gas fields for safety and efficiency. This position was in Palin’s wheel house as her husband Todd was a worker on the North Slope and in the field. It would later serve as a catalyst launching the people’s approval of Palin to an all new level of popularity.

Also in 2003, Palin was named as the Chair of “Ted Steven’s Excellence in Public Service Inc”—which promoted deserving women in public service.  Since being undeservedly ordained with the title “Senator from the great State of Alaska,” Lisa Murkowski has been all over the political spectrum on issues, taking away from any sense of reliability and dependability anointed her.  And the controversy surrounding her knows no end.

From the way she was appointed US Senator by her Daddy, to her now using the Alaskan Courts to release Judge Joe Miller’s private employment records—which have been made public for over 6 months—Murkowski seems completely enveloped by corruption & conflict of interest issues.  The Judge that sided with Lisa Murkowski (who filed the suit) was appointed his seat by Governor Frank Murkowski; and it was all carried out in the name of “The People of the State of Alaska,” using “Blind Justice!” But who did the issue best serve, the people of Alaska or Lisa Murkowski herself?

It was this same style of self-centered corruption that led Sarah Palin to file ethical complaints against Frank Murkowski’s “Good Old Boy Network” for leaking insider information to Oil Company executives—the same ones appointed by Governor Murkowski. Frank was the Governor who purchased the Governor’s Private Jet despite Legislative disapproval.  He also tried to sign his own Pipe Line Deal despite Congressional disapproval. It took the threat of a law suit to stop Frank from moving forward with his “Good Old Boy” agenda

In 2006, Sarah Palin soundly defeated Frank Murkowski as Alaska’s new Governor. He only took in 19% of the vote. And then the wildly popular Governor Palin bequeathed her own benefit. She passed a “resource subsidy check” onto every single Alaskan to the tune of $1,200.00 each—courtesy of Big Oil.  And like her father’s Good Old Boy’s Network, Lisa Murkowski had an ethical complaint filed against her too.

In 2007, while Palin was busy working for the people, Murkowski was busy at work using her position over the people.  She was busted taking a political favor in the form of an under-valued house from the same firm that cost Ted Stevens his career as THE Senator from Alaska. Bob Penney offered her a loan for river front property (here), which would have reportedly made Murkowski up to $170,000.00. Obama had the same type deal made him by Tony Rezko—who recently got out of jail.

She only offered to sell the property back after a Washington DC watchdog group filed an ethics complaint against her. To this day, she says there was nothing dishonest about the scam (here)—which would beg the question—if there was nothing dishonest about the deal, then why did she sell the mansion before facing a Senate hearing? The controversy is not unlike Bill & Hillary Clinton’s involvement in the White Water scandal (here) which led to Clinton’s being impeached by the House of Reps in 1998. Her oath is her word, an judging by her concession speech made last June, her word is not worth the spit it takes to speak!

And beware Alaska, the subsidy check negotiated by Palin will not be issued for an eternity and was almost repealed by the Frank’s  “Good Old Boy Network” in state Congress back in 2008. You know, by Lisa's Legislature-friends.

Sometimes when people benefit by a leaders character it’s for only as long as the moral guide is present. Palin went onto auction off Frank’s jet on e-bay, but not before he took it on the people’s dime to Japan and Korea—two nations at odds with Alaska’s fishing industry!  I am sure good old Frank had a “whale” of a time though.

Are these the real tribulations that the real people of Alaska face on a daily basis? I assumed they are struggling just like everyone else—with how to pay the bills, or what job to interview next, how to make ends meet or get ahead and prepare for retirement.

Certainly, only the pampered nobility have to worry about what to do with that pesky $170K river front property. And who needs to be bothered about a jet when there’s a pipeline to jump on.  Lawsuits be damned when you appoint the Judges and are all but assured a favorable outcome.

Everyone from Alaska is just like Lisa Murkowski—right?

The next article will focus on Murkowski's voting record and how she uses it to benefit only herself. The history provided quite a grim picture to paint. The employer will have to make a decision on what to do for the company in two days.

Alaska: Lisa Murkowski Flip-Flops & Scott McAdams Goes Radical

McAdams (Far Left) & Murkowski (Rino) fit in the same frame
Patrick Read
Washington  DC

As the desperate politics of character assassination sinks to a new depth in the Alaska Senate race – one thing remains clear – Joe Miller is correct. He is running against two liberals, and both Scott McAdams and Lisa Murkowski have selfishly sold out Alaska in favor of their own liberal ideology and political victory.

Benevolent service to our nation’s military was something highly regarded in Alaska, but recently the egocentric candidate, Lisa Murkowski, is trying to demean Miller’s honorable sacrifice (bronze star, achievement medial) for her own political gain.

And the candidate endorsed by Alaska’s Center for Community (CFC) should hold charitable service (Honorable Military Service, West Point Alumn) in high esteem, but instead Scott McAdams is also trying to demoralize Miller’s volunteerism as a pro-bono attorney. It should be noted that neither Murkowski nor McAdams served their community by offering free (Yale Educated) legal service or have sacrificed for their country through (Meritorious)  military service.

Instead, Murkowski failed the bar exam four times before her father's political connections landed her a job in Anchorage. And the only thing McAdams defended was the snack bar at the local Museum he worked at before serving big unions for six years. Of course in 2007, Murkowski voted “NO” on a measure that would prohibit Congress from berating the men & women who are serving the military with honor which may allow her to demean service to one's country (like she did at the debate).

As many already know, Alaska is an economic power house in terms of its oil and natural gas reserves. In years past, the people of Alaska have benefited from the Oil Industry when Governor Palin negotiated “resource rebate checks” totaling of $1,200.00 delivered to each Alaska citizen.

In turn for Alaska's production and supply of new petroleum:
  • gas prices went down,
  • heating-oil prices lowered,
  • overhead costs plummeted,
  • the cost of goods and services fell,
    Shipping cost dropped,
  • and thus the nation’s employment rate & its economy surged all the more higher.
One doesn't need a Masters of Science (Miller's) to know that the efficiency of fossil fuel & its supply is the very life blood to the US economy and her people’s well being. It is equally obvious that Scott McAdams favors a new direction for both Alaska and America. It must be his glaring lack of experience that leads McAdams to support America's becoming the Redistributive Source of Revenue for the world  with "Cap and Trade."  Certainly, the far left blogs and media sources support his position.

In the 2008 elections, a majority of Americans got their news from online sources. Mindful of this fact, the one term Mayor of Sitka, Scott McAdams hired a company called “Progressive PST” (PPST) to handle his Internet campaign. It is a political organization founded “by progressive (bloggers) for progressive (political candidates).” PPST builds Internet websites for candidates and services their e-campaigns via social media, ensuring their “clients” get favorable media coverage via far Left blog, The Daily Kos – who is now engaged in conflicting interest and is owned by a self-avowed socialist.

McAdams (L) Dean (R) pose w NetRoots "toy"
As a co-founder of Progressive PST, Neal Rauhauser has Cisco ratings & & is a member of Net Roots Nation – a group of e-activist and bloggers. He handles Progressive PST’s technical expertise including; software, applications and website development. He blogs at The Daily Kos, The Oil Drum, Mother Nature Network, The Millennium Ark, Wise Earth, The Cutting Edge News, Open Left, and OSINT4Progressives among others. And none are remotely mainstream or middle Americana.

In a recent interview Rauhauser promoted what is known by radical-environmentalist as “perma-culture” or “permanent agriculture.” In short, perma-culture endorses a serfdom style agricultural system much like the one that America evolved from during the English Colonialism. Without using chemicals to control pests & allow for a larger harvest, the serfs will mandatorily rotate their crops only farming what is allowed by law. They’ll supply their own food and undoubtedly supply the noble few with the fruits of their labor too. After all, God knows that those who don’t farm still need to eat.

The Perma-Culture movement that Rauhauser endorses, who McAdams hired & promoted his energy plan,  is ANTI-PETROLEUM stating:

1.    The US has hit its peak-petroleum supply.
2.    The US is at its peak-population and
3.    Petroleum products must be discarded because their emissions (CO2) are killing the planet and causing global warming.
a.    Cap and Trade is an avenue to discard petroleum

Recently Scott McAdams endorsed a policy called he calls, “Stranded Wind,” where wind energy is used to power and produce a renewable energy power plant. Apparently , McAdams thinks that fossil fuel is endangered as the primary source of energy.  But  WHERE did McAdams get the idea of  "out dated wind-energy" as a source to produce an equally inefficient renewable-energy to replace petroleum?

One would guess after having serviced the Teachers Union from Sitka Alaska for a mere three years, McAdams would know about plagiarism.

In the above interview, McAdams’ e-campaigner, Neal Rauhauser (on Twitter as “Stranded Wind”) cites Fritz Heber – the father of “chemical weapons” who sold his technology to Nazi Germany. Heber discovered that energy can be produced from fertilizer compounds – chemicals. McAdams' PPST Employee, Rauhauser,  takes the 1909 discovery to promote HIS “Stranded Wind project.” It uses a renewable (such as Wind, or Hydro) to produce a highly toxic form of Ammonia to replace the so-called declining petroleum supply or “peak-oil.” But he fails to mention that Ammonia emits nitrous oxide, which has 296 times the global warming potential than does petroleum (CO2), and it should be noted that he seeks to set society back a full 100 years at developmental stages of the industrial revolution.

How would McAdams answer that the Left does not want The People or the Agriculture Industry to use chemicals to protect their crops or ensure a greater yield but are all too happy in endorsing the widespread use of dangerous chemicals to replace oil & gas? The use of chemicals in McAdams' endorsement of "Rauhauser’s Stranded Wind idea" would greatly escalate any man made global warming. In fact, it is evidence that man made global warming is not an issue at all, but is only being used by the Left to redistribute American revenues on a Global scale.
Rauhauser, who is linked (here) to some very shady Internet activity,  appeases those to his left by saying that “only some corn” will still be produced for “some liquid fuel uses.” Apparently the Left believes that corn should not be manufactured for bio-fuels for Food Security reasons, but will be used to replace petroleum based products (like paint, plastic, and fuel); while wheat will be used as the primary food source for the human species.

Rauhauser then drops an agricultural bombshell, stating that the Central California Valley water crisis was a net positive, “it’s where a vast amount of America’s Industrial Agriculture is located, and will now be transitioned to neighborhoods using their land to produce their own food (as opposed to relying on the Agricultural Industry).  "There will even be urban chickens, just like during the Great Depression,” Neal Rauhauser

Rauhauser comments that the largest Industrial Ammonia plant in operation today is in Zimbabwe and he explains that it is only limited because of the condition of its government and its currency. What came first, the urban chicken or its egg? Clearly if Zimbabwe embraced the more efficient energy and lower cost fossil fuel, its economy and government would not be amongst the worse in the world. And what Rauhauser does not say is that when used for energy, Ammonia is 40% less efficient than is any fossil fuel.

If those he surrounds himself with are any indication of a person’s character, McAdams is all about social-engineering and not about individual freedoms at all.

Rauhauser states his motivation is, "out of a direct profit motive, but the real profit in our eyes will be access to Democrats we helped to get elected.” Like Scott McAdams, a Senate candidate for Alaska which has one of the largest fossil fuel reserves in the world and who is right in Rauhauser’s wheel-house.
As Barack Obama said directly, (his) plan of Cap and Trade would necessarily make energy prices sky-rocket.” And at its core, the green energy movement is only a money-making scheme using tax payer revenue to enrich others handpicked by the government – instead of the product itself resulting in the riches of the individuals producing it. If the green (with envy) movement of renewable-energy were viable, it would not need the government to prop up its market and thus create new wealth by force.

In the above interview (first 45 minutes), Rauhauser appears on the Nicole Sandler Show in his capacity as Progressive PST.  He and co-founder Beth Becker promote their extreme pro-abortion position and recite their demand for federal funding of the moral dilemma run amok in America. They sing support for Lois Herr, who is contesting Joe Pitts in Pennsylvania.

Pitts and Bart Stupak wrote into the so-called moral Health Care Reform Bill that Federal Funds (resulting from you and I) are not be used for abortion. Both are religious and know the words of Christ, “that which you do to the least of my people you do to me.” And religious people affirm that if the most vulnerable and most innocent human beings on the planet cannot be protected by our laws, then no one can be protected by law either. They know that the Left’s lack of respect for human life, in allowing for its destruction prior to it even being born, lends way to the lack of respect for human life realized in criminal activity as it furthers society’s immorality.
And almost on cue, Republican in Name Only (RINO) turned self demanded write-in candidate, Lisa Murkowski, announced her support for federally funded (by you and I) abortions. Of course, she is now only telling the women of Alaska to play gender politics and vote with their ovaries (here) now that it’s feasible for her to do so.

Murkowski voted (records here)  against Late Term Abortion. She voted against subversive abortion services. She voted for the parental notification act. But now sees fit to reverse all of this and, in direct opposition to her Catholic Faith, she waves the flag of favor for abortion; but she only showed her true colors when really needed to win HER political victory.  This means that she must favor the $100 Million dollars in the Health Care Bill sent to Country Wide Chris Dodd’s state to build a hospital that will perform abortions.

In addition to the above self-serving opportunism, she also lied about being endorsed by the National Rifle Association (NRA) – which is important to Alaska – especially with those who feed their families by hunting.  Scott McAdams didn’t even think to seek their endorsement out. In fact, the NRA endorsed (here)  Alaska’s war-time military hero, Joe Miller.

When considering controversy, one need not look any further than Lisa Murkowski. She has never won a primary, which is needed to represent the people, and she was only appointed to the US Senate by her father, Senator Frank Murkowski

It was a feudal display of nepotism not witnessed on American soil in over 200 years.

Her father was the Senator from Alaska and in 2001 he ran for Governor. He won with the help of Sarah Palin, and then HE selected his selfish daughter as heir-apparent. While governor, Frank was part of the good ol boys’ network that Palin would later square off against. He was also the man who purchased the private jet despite legislative disapproval. Palin would later defeat Frank in 2006 and place the jet on e-bay for public auction; but only after he took it on a trip to Korea and Japan during his lame duck session, courtesy of the Alaskan taxpayer—of course!

How is this for a conflict of interest? The Federal Judge who recently ordered Joe Miller’s private employment records released—which have already been on display for 6 months—was appointed by Frank Murkowski, father of Lisa Murkowski, who is now running against Joe Miller. Again, Frank was whooped badly by Palin for Governor after she took a stand against his good ol boys. Sarah Palin later negotiated a check payable to every Alaskan from the same good ol boy network. And then Palin endorsed Joe Miller.

Lisa Murkowski voted twice to expand the Federal Government’s rights over state land, but not her own. She voted to give Hollywood a tax credit for its production, but did not do the same for Sugar Cane Farmers – which is why we import most of our sugar. Despite a 70% loud and clear rejection of the American People, Murkowski voted for both TARP and Omnibus. She then voted for a second bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—whose sub-prime loans are the ground zero of the economic collapse—with another $160 Billion.

As a matter of fact, Murkowski has sided and voted with Pelosi, Reid and Obama 6 of the last 7 spending measures.  It is this same lack of character, moral fortitude & political gamesmanship that led to her father’s defeat. It is Murkowski’s same streak misrepresenting herself—like when she lied publicly and conceded her race to Miller on national television—that allows her to morph herself. To transform into what she places as the priority – herself.

Consider Heir Murkowski had the nerve to evoked Uncle Ted Stevens, who had just been killed in a plane crash, in order to excuse her sheer selfishness -- in ignoring The People's vote -- to make herself a write-in candidate. Cheaply using Senator Stevens in this vain  only highlighted for the people that her power hunger knows no boundry.

Murkowski then joined the minions of liberal bloggers and  attacked Sarah Palin, who Chaired "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc” from 2002 - 2005.  She attacked Palin, like her father did, because Palin simply supported what she knows to be best for both Alaska and America.

With two of three liberals running for Senate in Alaska, a few things are clear and maybe heading our way: cap and trade will likely pass despite the people’s overwhelming disapproval, health care will not be amended with what the people want but will remain intact and progress toward a takeover of one-sixth of the American economy and the economic crisis will continue without an end in spending and reformation of America; as opposed to the transformation of it.

And for embracing the founding ideals of our country, Joe Miller is now called, "extreme." Sure, Joe's extreme. He's extremely qualified. He's extremely intelligent. He's extremely educated. He's extremely judicial as his extremely prudent legal career proves.  He's extremely honorable based on a extreme collection of Military Medals. He's extremely proud of America and Alaska. He's extremely well founded regarding the economy, as  his extreme Master's Degree of Economics makes clear. I guess anything not radically progressive must be extreme to the Left.

Abraham Lincoln turned to the Founders to reform and move America forward for all of us, stating, "a divided house cannot stand." Now even Lincoln would be considered extreme by the Left! After all Abe was conservative. Of course, Lincoln defeated the Left too. He didn't turncoat, and he certainly didn't  radically change the constitution, but he confirmed it. Alaska will do the same.

Hank Gilbert: Texas Ag Candidate Hires Anti-Energy Radical, Neal Rauhauser

Washington DC
By PS Read

Hank Gilbert is already enveloped in controversy while running for Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture. Now information has come to light that Gilbert hired a radical-environmentalist for his campaign that is hell bent on re-engineering US Agriculture and the US energy supply.

It is already public knowledge that Gilbert has failed to report his taxes to the IRS on four separate occasions, and he has been charged for writing bad checks too. Given the current political trend of Democrats not paying taxes and spending money they can’t repay, one might think Gilbert is a perfect fit for his party – but it is clear Gilbert is not a perfect fit for Texas – especially its Department of Agriculture.

In the 2008 elections a majority of Americans got their news from online sources. Mindful of this fact, Hank Gilbert sought out a company called “Progressive PST” (PPST) to handle his e-campaign. A political organization founded “by progressives, for progressive (candidates),” they build internet websites for their clients, and service their e-campaigns across the full spectrum of the internet. At the same time the group actively campaigns for their clients online, Progressive PST also ensures that their “clients” get favorable media coverage that often times is the result of internet bloggers.

Neal Rauhauser is a co-founder of Progressive PST, he has Cisco ratings & is a member of Net Roots Nation – a group of e-activist and bloggers. Before becoming a green-activist, Rauhauser was a plant engineer at an internet service provider (Teleco Company). He handles PPST’s technical expertise, including software, application and website development. He blogs at The Daily Kos, The Oil Drum, Mother Nature Network, The Millennium Ark, Wise Earth, The Cutting Edge News, Open Left, OSINT4Progressives; and he appears on internet radio shows including The Nicole Sandler Show and Agro-Innovations.
In a recent interview, Rauhauser promotes what is known by radical-environmentalist as “perma-culture” or “permanent agriculture.” The idea is to enforce an all-organic, eco-friendly agricultural system at the residential level moving away from Industrial Agriculture. In short, perma-culture endorses a serfdom style food supply & agricultural system much like the one that America evolved from during the English Monarchy’s Dark Ages. Without using chemicals, the serfs will farm & rotate their crops ensuring soil viability and supply their own food, plus undoubtedly supply the noble few with the fruits of their labor too.

The Perma-Culture movement that Rauhauser endorses is also anti-petroleum, stating that:

1.    The US has hit its peak-petroleum supply.
2.    The US is at its peak-population and
3.    Petroleum products must be discarded because their emissions (CO2) are killing the planet and causing global warming.
a.    Cap and Trade is an avenue to discard petroleum

In the above interview Rauhauser (on Twitter as Strand Wind) cites Fritz Heber, the father of chemical weapons who sold his technology to Nazi Germany, and his discovery of energy being produced from fertilizer compounds.  Rauhauser takes the 1909 discovery to promote his Stranded Wind project – which uses a renewable energy (such as Wind, or Hydro) to produce a highly toxic form of Ammonia Energy to replace the so-called “declining petroleum supply.” He fails to mention that Ammonia emits nitrous oxide, which has 296 times the global warming potential than does carbon dioxide, and it should be noted that Gilbert’s e-campaigner seeks to set society back a full 100 years at development stages of the industrial revolution.

Rauhauser appeases those to his left, the Food Activist and Survivalist, by saying, "only “some” corn will still be produced for “some” liquid fuel use."  Apparently the Left believes that corn should not be manufactured for bio-fuels for Food Security reasons. He states that corn crops will be used to replace petroleum based products (like paint, plastic, and fuel); while wheat will be used as the primary food source for the human species.

“There will even be urban chickens, just like during the Great Depression,” said Rauhauser.

On MNN, after promoting Cap and Trade, he states, “Much like the United States of December 1941, we face a massive retooling to deal with the twin threats of ‘fossil fuel depletion and climate change,’ and a retooling of our beliefs and attitudes is going to be a large part of the change we face.”
Rauhauser goes on to explain that before the advent of natural gas, “40% of America used to be involved in food production. Now only 1 to 2% of Americans are involved in agriculture, which is completely unnatural and it won’t last. It can’t last and there’s no way around it.”

Rauhauser has an answer to the Industrial Agriculture problem though. He presented a plan to Buffalo, NY and to Iowa that would establish “green house farms” to mass produce fruit and vegetables using the run-off heat fuel from his Ammonia-Energy mass production plants.

He continues down the path of his social-reengineering dream by describing the only Mass Production Ammonia plant in use today, “It’s in Zimbabwe, and services about 250 megawatts with 180 miles of power lines. Of course,” he says, “it is limited only by the value of their currency and governmental problems.”

What came first, the urban chicken or its egg?

The fact is that petroleum based energy is 40% more efficient as an energy source, which was the motivating reason that Henry Ford decided to use gas to fuel his car and not another more expensive renewable, like steam or ammonia. Maybe if Zimbabwe learned to be more efficient, their currency and government wouldn’t be in such ruins.

While Hank Gilbert attacks Todd Staples for Gas Prices – which the Department of Agriculture is somehow responsible for – he fails to mention his campaigns link to the promotion of Cap and Trade which “would necessarily make energy cost sky-rocket,” per President Obama. And Gilbert doesn’t talk about his campaign link to the advent of Ammonia Energy, which also has greenhouse gas emissions.

Maybe Gilbert can explain how opposition to an “all of the above approach” will somehow lower energy cost and spark the lulling US economy.

Peak Oil and the Petroleum Decline?

The fact of the matter is that the United States of America has more petroleum potential than any other country in the world. The natural gas contained within the upper Appalachians would last us more than 100 years alone. The reservoir could deliver up to 516 trillion cubic feet. By comparison, the yearly consumption of natural gas worldwide is slightly above 100 trillion cubic feet. Of course, radical Left groups like the Sierra Club, has seen fit for us to not extract it. It seems the far Left would rather we rely on enriching OPEC than to produce our own.

Not to mention the US oil shale potential – a game changer in the world’s petroleum supply.
“Studies over the years by industry and government alike estimate that there may be between 800 billion and more than one trillion barrels of oil locked up in these rocks which is nearly three times the amount in known reserves of Saudi Arabia. It’s enough oil to supply America for the next 400 years & is coming eventually. It’s just a matter of when,” says Mayor Roy McClung, of Parachute, Colorado, a community in the heart of oil shale country. “Should all the stuff come into place, this area is going to–well, I don’t know if anyone is ready for that kind of growth.”

And of course, there is Texas.

Texas is the leading crude oil producing state in the nation and its 27 petroleum refineries produce more than 4.7 Million barrels of crude oil per day or 1/4th of the Nation’s total capacity. And 1/3rd of the USA’s total natural gas comes from Texas, making it the Nation’s current leader in natural gas production.  With 2,000 wind turbines in West Texas alone, it also leads the nation in wind power generation. But if Neal Rauhauser has his way, the petroleum supply from Texas will take a back seat to the less efficient and more costly wind energy.

Rauhauser states his motivation is, "out of a direct profit motive, but the real profit in our eyes will be access to Democrats we helped to get elected.” Like Hank Gilbert, candidate for Texas Department of Agriculture, who is right in Rauhauser’s wheel-house.

Per the Energy Information Administration (eia.gov) “Over millennia, humans have found ways to extend & expand their energy harvest, first by harnessing draft animals and later by inventing machines to tap the power of wind and water. Industrialization – the watershed social and economic development of the modern world – was enabled by the widespread & intensive use of fossil fuels unlocking the Earth's vast stores of coal, oil, and natural gas. The result was one of the most profound social transformations in history.”
It now seems that Hank Gilbert wants to set our society back 150 years to pre-Industrial Revolution time. Why else would he seek the help of Rauhauser – a radical environmentalist hell bent on enforcing costly renewable energies that would stymmie an already suffering economy, who also promotes a perma-culture society?

And if Mr. Staples thinks that Gilbert’s attack on him regarding salmonella was bad, it must run throughout Gilbert’s campaign because Rauhauser is linked to vile attacks on social-media users going back months. Rauhauser the Radical recently reported that every member of the tea party, Citizens United, the Republican Party, including the Koch Brothers, are ALL racist; including Alveda King!

Hank Gilbert, a Candidate for the Texas Department of Ag, should have known better than to hire a vile, global warming nag.

Always be proud. Always be prepared.
